No photofeed, I can only see my own photo’s
In 2012, Facebook removed the photofeed from your home page allowing you to just view all your friends photos in one place without having to look at the unnecessary nonsense posts, status updates and adverts. If you are like me, sometimes you just wanted to browse your friends photos to see what everyone has been upto. OK, well because the feed is no longer there (unless Facebook decide to bring it back), here is a workaround with extra benefits.
Well the solution is to find a working App that does the same job, and without the issues of it posting things on your wall without your knowledge.
Step 1) Install the APP
In the search box at the top of Facebook, type in “Pixable” and click on the app and install. “Allow” the application when prompted and close the “Invite friends”
Step 2) Move to favourites
find the APP on the left hand menu under Apps, left click the “edit” pencil shown on the picture to the right, and choose “Add to Favourites”
Step 3) Stop notifications and unattended posts (optional)
If you don’t want update notifications or your friends getting messages like “try this app” then its best to disable any notifications by doing the following.
See the image to the right, click on the “edit” pencil symbol next to the app name.
Next close the “X” as indicated on the second image below numbered 1, and then change the notify to “never” as indicated by number 2.
Thats it, now click on the Pixable name under your favourites and see all your friends photos, and notice the extra useful tools such as the heart shape “add to favourites” allowing you to collect all the best photos in one place, tweet them or even add other feeds into your Facebook like Flickr.
Ps. To “Like” a photo, you need to click on the photo and the like button is on the top of the comments feed on the right hand side but you have allow the app to post on your behalf when prompted.
I do hope this helps you guys, please feel free to leave comments below, it’s always good to hear what people think.
